I tend to agree. If I don't know at any specific time what is happening, I am a whole lot better than sitting and wondering.

AH....great tip on renting in the future....will pass that along. My son has rented apt's since he was 18...he's 27 now...and has never experienced anything like this before.....live and learn I guess.
James....love the TV idea.....my son actually talked about doing that at some point...maybe later in this process...they'd love that wouldn't they??
So, some parents are interviewed in the clearance process and some aren't??? I think that would be kind of interesting....surprisingly enough, our next door neighbor was in P'cola for flight school too so an agent came to our house and asked a lot of questions about him so I know what to expect when/if they question us about our son.....you can tell what they're after with the kinds of questions they asked...very interesting.
Thanks again everyone.....

Just a FYI on renting a place..... when we lived in apartments before we bought our first house, I would always take pictures of the condition of the place and walk through it with a clipboard and write down every ding and dent. When we moved out, I would again come with a camera and clipboard with the original ding and dent list. I even had my father come one time in a suit and tie. We never lost a security deposit. I know it might be more difficult with the tight schedules that our loved ones are under, but maybe a friend could do it for them.

Leslie, they didn't want to talk with my DS' parents. Although I did. Most of his friends were NROTC already in the pipeline and didn't qualify. They found a couple of friends that were able to be tracked down. Good luck with that. They just ask basic questions. It was sort of fun actually.

I got to work from home today..... The 2ith minor is just about to come out of the hole. They have sped things up so much, but everytime they bring one up, it just make my heart swell. I can't imagine the things that they have gone through. Their families. There I go - crying again.

OK...it's Pointe South in Perdido Key....all military personnel should stay away from renting anything from them.....they have a history of withholding security deposits in the full amount from their tenants....even when the tenants leave the premises in the same way they as found it...clean!!!! Other stories are coming out...amazing.

Thanks AH....just want the atty's to work it out for now. At this point, don't really want to do anything outside of that or without the approval of my brother. I agree, I can't believe some people...it's all about money!!! In a bad economy esp., some people will go to great lengths to get the bloody buck!!!

I'm glad that he has someone close to the area that can help. I just can't believe people sometimes.

Good luck on this and if there is anything us N4M group can do - let us know.
