Yes, my son still has the email which cannot be manipulated in any way, by the way, and he has sent it on to my brother who is an attorney in the area....in Mobile to be exact. They're just sitting on this for now. My son went to Jag immediately...they were of little to no help. The Navy ( each command) has been kept up to speed on this since the very beginning. They are great support for my son and have been extremely understanding but haven't really DONE anything. It's a legal matter so it's being handled that way between lawyers. We'll see with this latest letter what happens.

If you son has the email that the 1st 2 pages were missing, I would think that he would have some type of legal recourse back. Of course I'm not a lawyer. Did JAG help. Please get the information to us. I think that a write in campaign by us might be in order as well as a boycott of this property and any other properties they may manage.

It gets worse.....someone from the property management went to his API command ( he had already started Primary at this time) and told the command that my son "skipped out" on his lease. Also, when my son signed the lease, that was 16 pages long, he happened to be home Chicago) (his roommates found the house) so the property management emailed the lease to him....it started on page 3...they didn't send him the 1st 2 pages that contained the clause about new orders and any remaining tenant being obligated for the duration of the lease......shady to say the least. It is either Point South or South Point in Perdido Key. I'll get the correct name from my son when I talk to him. Thanks for good thoughts and all your prayers.....that will help!!!

Well, it seems I spoke too soon regarding my son's housing dilemma. He just received a certified letter from the property management saying they are withholding all of the security deposits from each of the 4 guys and my son is still obligated to pay the entire amount from Sept. 2010 through the next 7 months...almost 20k. Can you believe it?? How on earth can they do this??? He hadn't heard anything for a few weeks and now this.....the nightmare continues.....keep your fingers crossed that this will end for good soon. Am still watching the miners being rescued.....I tear up, too, when another one comes up. An amazing story...

I've been watching all morning - tear up everytime they bring another miner up. I even turned the tv on a couple of times during the night to see how many had been brought up so far. I'm working from home today so i am able to watch.

Funny you should mention a pedicure!!! My DS just sent us an email from the boat. He told us that they never got into the Petronas Towers as apparently the tickets sell out by 6:30am. I guess that they weren't getting up that early. Anyway, one thing he did was get a fish pedicure, where fish eat away dead skin off your feet. He said that it was weird but that he hasn't laughed that hard in years - was literally in tears. I'm too ticklish.

He also let it out of the bag that he has a girlfriend in San Diego - or at least one that seems to be handling the separation pretty well. He met her after the cruise in July and Aug but then left for deployment in Sept. Not great timing but things seem to be going pretty well for being separated. Keep the fingers crossed!!!!

Props to Erin for her great accomplishment.......continued prayers for her and all our aviators.....am watching the rescue of the Chilean miners and have been praying for them all to be rescued safe and sound.....what an extraordinary story of amazing strength and perseverance.....warms the heart...don't mean to make a big deal of something so insignificant in light of this kind of news but, remember my son's housing dilemma with the owner going after him for a huge amount of money due to his roommates being relocated to CC????? Well, it's all been dropped...think he is even getting is deposit back...primary is going so well.....he's loving every minute of it....hoping to get jets.....good times again for my aviator and am so thankful....

I only wish that they could have started earlier in the day. Getting to be bed time for this old lady.

I was reading on the Lincoln FB page that the sailers participated in 4 community service projects while in Malaysia. I think that it amazing..that while on liberty, these sailors were dong things for people halvf a world away. We have so much to be proud that we have this calier of people in our military. While my fauther was in the Army Air Corp during WWII and my FIL was in the Air Force for 30 years, Jeff and I met after his Dad had retired. I have never been a part of the military, but definately am proud to now be a part of it, even at the fringes.

Chris, is Erin flying a Hornet or Super Hornet. I felt better that Mike was flying a Super Hornet because they were a little bit newer. In any event, I bet they are in better shape than the T-45s. Especially the ones in Kingsville.
