I had to send an email from my work email to one of our insureds, All Erection and Crane Rental. My email was not blocked going out, however, their email was blocked coming in. Now our filters blocked that email, but it did not block the hundreds of emails that I got for about a year after that 1st email from all of the male enhancement mailings. I can not tell you how embarrassed that I was getting those blame things. Somehow, I finally got rid of most of them. Why it would block the legitimate email and let all the others through is beyond me.

Hey Nancy, Mike asked for a back seat ride in one that an instructor was taking up and they let him. That was about a month before he started flying. He might look into it. He told us it was a rush.

The FRG for Mike's Squadron put out something from the command that it now looks like they are going to be home for some time before deploying. They put it in baseball terms. "When we touch plate expect a lot of time off and minimal practice before the next away game". It now sounds like at least the 6 week home if I'm reading that. That will hopefully give Mike time to get his flight status reinstated. Keep your fingers crossed.

Navy wife and mom. That is great that you got to see your son and give the family a surprise. Mike is having a hard time right now since he can't fly. He hopes to be flying again by the first week in September but isn't really sure yet. He still doesn't know if they will be deploying right after COMPTUEX or coming back for several weeks. I think at this point that he is hoping to come back. That will give him a chance to get requalified instead of leaving the cruise and coming back to Lemoore for requals. Anyway, he is working at getting things done that have been on the back burner for awhile and getting studies done that he wasn't able to do for awhile. He is also still doing his LSO duties which he really likes. I'm asking everyone to say a prayer that the investigation goes well and that he gets flying soon. Thanks

Hi Jody - Yes, let's do coffee! Most Saturday mornings are good with me. Let's set a date! And the wedding was absolutely gorgeous. I know you are in the Sacramento area -- it was at Capital Christian Center, with 430 guests! Jamie and LaRon know a LOT of people! It was really fun.

I can't wait for Tracy's winging. She has worked so hard and has just done an exemplary job all the way through. We are so unbelievably proud of her. As her dad and I are both Navy vets (Hospital Corpsmen, HM1's)it is pretty satisfying and exciting to see kids keeping the tradition of Naval service. Tracy is 4th generation USN....amazing. Ok, let me know when is a good time for coffee! Patty

I just posted a picture of Mike being the LSO on his CAG's 1400th trap. I found the photo on the Kestrel Facebook page and asked if it was him. He confirmed that it was in fact him. Can't see his face obviously, but recognized the back end!!!!!

Pflute....So how did the wedding go? I assume you got all the dresses done?
We need to go for coffee sometime, so I can see all the pictures.

Hi..I just wanted to check in after a bit of an absence (one kid getting married, crazy work schedule), and say that my daughter, Tracy, will be winged in Jacksonville on Sept 17th as a NFO. Woohoo! She had a great "navcon" (??) flight to the UK last month for an airshow (what a fun time she had!) and is finishing up her classes. She is going to a VQ squadron at Whidbey Island, WA in October. Finally, after 3-1/2 years in the Navy she will be on the West Coast! Yippee! We are so proud of her and can't wait to get out there from Sacramento and see her!

The only thing that I know about what happened is that he lost his canopy at 24k feet and that it is cold. They don't know what happened yet, but he says that it is cold at 24k feet. I'm sure he didn't have a jacket. He called an emergency and took the plane on into North Island and landed safely. Something about part of his plane imbedded into another part of the plane. The sqaudron made it sound a bunch more "minor" than it actually was. lol. I didn't sleep too much last night.

Mike told me in his email that he knew that reading his post that my heart was beating a mile a minute but that he was as healthy as he was 2 days ago. We listen and we pray.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am so relieved that he is ok. I just told my husband that I must have ESP when it comes to Mike. I just knew it was him and I have been checking my emails all day to see if I would get one. He is out on the deck doing LSO stuff today. I guess that things may have changed again. They may actually come back to Lemoore again before deployment. Amazing how things change by the hour. That is what Mike keeps saying. they have about one week for Comptuex (don't ask me what that stands for) and then I guess we'll see. Thanks again for your thoughts.
