I just found out that it was one of the aviation mechanics who lost the baby. My husband relayed it wrong to me. I'm sure that Mike told him "one of his guys". Mike is the officer for the Aircraft division and has about 50 people under him and it was one of them. Still don't know anymore details, but they still need our prayers. Thank you.

Moms, I am asking for you all to say a prayer for one of the pilots in my son's squadron and his family. I don't know any more details than I am giving right now, but, he was on leave and took his newborn baby (born this spring) to the grandparents and the baby died during the night. Mom was in Lemoore at the time and I'm not sure if she has gone to to where Dad is but the squadron has been helping her out today and things are pretty hectic and extremely sad. The squadron is headed out to deployment very soon. I can't imagine their grief and how it is affecting the squadron who know that they are all leaving their loved ones at home and this pilot who is grieving and having to leave a wife who is grieving too. Prayers are greatly appreciated.. .

Hi Leslie...our trip was amazing!!! Ninja done very well on the plane ride up and was very excited to see his dad! That area up there is absolutely breath taking and I am so anxious to go back (even though I just got home yesterday). :) We got to spend a great deal of time together with him having off two days for the 4th. We got the opportunity to go down to Seattle for a day and visit Pike's Market which was very interesting. We also went over to some of the Islands around Anacortes and did alot of hiking close to his house! Ninja, of course, loved the all the trails and play-time! I miss that baby terribly though. And it was very difficult leaving Bill again as well! However, I am already planning another trip up there in a couple of months. :)

I'm sorry to hear about all the drama surrounding you right now. I will be thinking about you and hope things get better soon!

Well gang...my son dropped the bomb over the weekend that he will be getting married to a girl he has known since high school....and they are having a courthouse wedding in Pcola. She is moving there next week. They will return home next year to have a ceremony. They have agreed to delay the wedding until the mothers can come, so I will be going down the end of August. Not quite the way I envisioned my 1st trip to visit him. I guess it could have been worse...at least he wants me there. And they are allowing me to be involved in planning the wedding here next year. Still hard. He is my oldest and first to get married.

Summer has finally arrived in Idaho. We've had a very cool, wet spring and temps are just starting to hit the 80's. Don't worry though....soon we will be in the 90's an 100's...but it is the high desert here, so dry.

Hi All
I love reading your posts even though my response is seldom. You are an amazing bunch of ladies!
If interested I have another pipeline of information concerning naval aviation. My son had scores for jets and therefore selected them- did great in Kingsville but as we know the needs of the navy come first. He was quality spread selected for the E-2/C-2 pipeline. Now in Norfolk he is flying the E-2 Hawkeye. He selected the Hawkeye over the Greyhound (C-2) as he felt it was an appropriate choice in advanced aircraft for when he continues in his naval career. As he says it will be a little different landing this big lady on the boat compared to the T-45.
Congratulations to all who have had recent wingings and assignment selections. We have so much to be proud of.
God Bless-
Leslie- loved the Gene Simmons video!!
