Nancy, so glad the surgery went well. I can tell thay you have been around Colorado. Jeffco is now Rocky Mountin Metro. We live about 2 miles from it and still call it Jeffco. Everyone have a good Mother's Day. I haven't heard from mike today. He is out on the boat and commuication is sort of sporadic. Yesterday he emailed and said that he had a cold. He was hoping that he could get it out of his system that day. He was being an LSO. If not, they won't let him fly today.

Thanks to all of you for the good wishes about Meredith. We still don't know where she is going. Naval Personnel in Tennessee was flooded so her assignment is backlogged in the system. She's hoping for warm weather, i.e HI or JAX. Probably means she'll be going to Whidbey!

Hi all,

Wow, so many exciting things happening for our aviators!! Mine started P3 ground school in JAX last week and says it's pretty intense - he still is amazed at how big that bird is! At this point, he says the instructors treat them really well - on a first name basis. He's just a sponge and soaking everything in - don't know when he'll actually get his first "real" flight.

Happy Mother's Day (and early Father's Day) to all of you incredible families, you're all very special!

Greetings,

My son is well on his way to joining the aviation community. He's been a Nuke for four years. Last November he was picked up STA-21 pilot select. 16 May he goes to Newport RI for NSI. He will be attending The Citadel in the fall.

My nephew just made Commander. He is an NFO on a Hawkeye. BZ Matt!

SarahJane: we used to live in Annapolis and witnessed many Academy weddings. Wonderful moments...have a great time. Enjoy Annapolis. Be sure to go to Buddy's for Sunday brunch...you won't need to eat for days! I miss that place! Annapolis is a fun town...so much history. I'm jealous...I want to go back!

Hi moms that are all going to Pensacola and Milton. How I miss those trips to the sun, fun, and sand when my son was there. I got excited a couple weeks ago when my husband and I took Amtrak to New Orleans for a friend's son's wedding. We got out and took pictures of the train station in Meridian, MS where my son was later stationed for his T-45 training. We had previously seen the station from the front during a sightseeing tour. I had to txt msg a picture of the station to my son ... who's know at the NAS in WA state.

Also, since I don't get to check in too often ... Happy Mother's Day to all!!
