A sweet letter my SR sent me this past Thursday: He entitled it "One day"

My love,
I can't wait to see you again. It has been too long.
I need to see your smile again. It's been too long.
My faith gives me hope, but you, love, give me purpose.
You are my motivation, determination & prize.
You are my ONE and ONLY, my dreams yet to come true.
I will be all you need one day, my love.
You will see all i have seen one day, my love.
I might be away defending our country while our children play, but I'll return and there I'll stay. One day, One day.........

You will dress in White and me in Blue,
Cause you love me, and I love you.
I cannot stand how much I miss you,
my only wish is but to kiss you.
Your presence lingers inside my head,
There you will remain until we wed.
On that glorious occasion we will say,
Oh how we have waited for this One day, Today!

With all my love, Forever Yours,
SR Joe N. USN

lovebug- i am really sorry that you are sperated currently. i have not had to go through this yet, we are separated right now but he is not at sea. i would just stay as busy as possible. are you in school or do you work? maybe it is time to pick up a hobby. time will go by really fast! i know that there isn't always good communication let alone any communincation while they are out but write him alot. just remember that they get VERY busy and barley have even a half hour to themselves. maybe you can talk to him about each of you writting in a note book about your days or feelings and so on. and then once a month you can send them out to eachother. i heard that on FB. sounds like a great idea! send him care packages. maybe even themed ones like movie night or something. and just cause he can't write or talk or send things back to you doesn't mean that he doesn't want to! he is thinking about you amd missing you just as much as you are thinking about him and missing him!! trust your love it will get you though so much!

susin, i am really sorry that your bf is gone! i haven't gone though a deployment yet. but i am here for you if you need to talk ever! i know it is hard to be away from the one you love! when you say you are afraid to lose him do you mean breaking up or worse? i know that communicaton is really hard when he is out but can you email him as much as possible. not sure if you were dating when he was in bootcamp or not, if so i am sure you wrote a lot! kind of like that, write him all the time. doesn't have to be long, just about what you did that day. it makes it feels as though you are talking to him. even though he may not have time to respond or can't read it for a while i am sure he would love it! i am also sure that he misses you and loves you just as much as you miss and love him! some girls talk about meeting up with thier guys while they are at a port. not sure if this is possible for you or not though. do you have a hobby? something that can take up some of your down time and make the time fly by? do you have friends or family around that can take you out or just hang out with? again i am really sorry and i know that i am not going through the same thing, but we are here for you! this will only make you and him stronger as a couple!!!!!

Hey everyone! New to this site, my man just left for OCS in Rhode Island and I am stuck in Michigan. :( He attended Embry Riddle down in Florida for 2 years and now has his bachelors in flying. This is his first step to a 15-20 year career in the Navy as a pilot. This is our first time being separated for the 10 months we have been together. It is going to be hard I can tell (I just started college as well) but I know it will be all worth it! I love my Navy man. :)

Yes, I am, I'm an extra though, but I'm happy with that - as long as I get to see him, it's fine with me. I'm pretty sure i'll get in though, there's only 10 div's and they can hold up to like 14 or something like that.
