Welcome Sadie and Katie.
Boot camp is tough but it gets easier especially when you start planning for gradution which im getting ready for i leave in two weeks
I write to my bf everyday and he enjoys getting letters he tells me n his letters to write to him everyday that he loves going to bed after reading a letter from me. From what i have learned letters mean the world to them. And always stay positive and remin him how proud you are of him and how much you love nd miss him. When you get that first phone call 3-4 weeks in it will be the best feeling in the world. It will rebboost you to stay strong for the weeks left. Just an idea i always write song lyrics to my bf in all his letters since he loves music. Also get very creative i out stickers and stuff on my bfs letters i also make him hand made cards. They love that kinda stuff.
Stay strong. And AllieNJ that sounds like an idea.It would really help alot.

Hi! My name is Katie and my boyfriend just left for bootcamp on 3/4/10 and I just wanted to get some advice on what to expect from him going there and changing and how much I should write him and other things I might need to know.

Hey everyone! My boyfriend just had his graduation on Thursday which I was lucky enough to go to, then he went to the easy coast the very next day (we live up in Canada). Things are already getting easier for us now that he's out of basic training and all the crazy restrictions are behind him. I'm excited for what the future holds, and I hope that all of your men are doing well!

Thanks =) im hoping it comes today but its raining alot here. So if not i guess ill have to settle for tomorrow. Everytime i see a mail truck i get excited for no reason lol I put letters at the box at the post office, or at the mail pick up box at my job or if i see a mailman on saturday i just give it to them last week i pulled over just to give the mailman some lettters. They probably think im weird. Its just driving me crazy i wanna hear from him already.

Awww helga I hope you get your letter today or tomorrow... Last week I didnt get my letter till Monday so I know how you feel.. If the mailman can only skip my house, i think he would.. I know im making him work more by giving him my mails instead of dropping them off at the post office.. For sure I am the last person he would want to see everyday. LOL (( HUGSS ))

hey navygfhelga - I understand - I felt the same way on Wed - cause that's when I usually get my letters; but I didn't get it on Wed; it came on Thursday instead. I think maybe things are just getting more and more busy for them and we are all probably putting an "extra burden" (LOL) on the postal system with all the letters back and forth - I know I for one have been burning through lots of paper :-)
