CIVILIAN MARRIAGES are so different from ours. But we were all the same way when we dated people who werent in the military. I use to get mad at my friends who complained but I learned to accept that their pain is just as valid. They miss their partners too, they just dont know how it really feels to be apart. I try to look at our separtaion in a positive way. It reinforces how strong and true our love is. It gives both of us a chance to write some one the most heart warming and loving emails/letters. We both value what we have and dont ever want to watse time on petty arguments or fights. Dont get mad at our friends just try and remember they have no idea what our lives are like

the navy or militar in general does break a lot ot couples. But i think the divorce rate is so high not because being apart is hard, but because people get married for the wrong reason or thier love is not true love. You must be comfortable with in your self and so much your partner. When you both are grown adults (that can be at any age, its a maturity thing, nto a number) then you can handle anything. F*uck those recruiters!

WOOHOO ladies i got my first call today and i also received a letter its been a good day for me. Thank God. Im so happy. He told me that he had to write 5 goals he wants to set this year and one of his goals was to be engaged to me. I just thought that was the cutest thing. =)

My bf hasnt said anything about recruiters saying anything i hope they dont say stuff like that to him thats horrible they try to brain wash them i guess. After reading your comments though i thought of when i dropped my bf off at his recruitors office i stayed there with him a while but she seemed nice she didnt say anything to me but then again she was on the phone. He never said anything negative though.

Yeah a lot of the officers and instructors say things like that. From what my bfs said a lot of them say things like that because they don't want the guys getting hurt if the girl leaves or cheats or something.
