there are great benefits to being married, such as the health care and life insurance, but please, do not get married for one of these. I have had friends who do that and it never works out. Beign a military wife is HARD...harder than a gf. Dont get mad, but when you say "i do" to your sailor, you are promising that you are fully ready to be responsible for EVERYTHING in your life, his and your children. Plus when u are dating and your apart it kills you, but once your married its harder simply beacuse you have vowed till death, and for some, you are scared till death might come to soon. Im not saying you should get married young, im just saying make sure its for the right reasons. Once children get involved. i have a child with my college bf and i wouldnt wish co parenting to anyone. Just make sure you know. The first moment I met my husband I knew he was it for me. good luck ladies. Marriage is fantastic, but its not all sunshine and rainbows

Cp7 thats the story of my life too!! I feel like we went through same obstacles together only Im 27, turning 28 in June. Ive been with my sailor (recruit still in bc) for almost 6 years now and were still learning things together. Although he's finally asked me to marry him before he left, i feel like this issue is so huge that we need a lifetime to plan it. Lol.. Right now were just focused on raising my 6 year old together.. Hes been the best and I am so proud of him and his new career choice that I want him to enjoy it first before anything else. :)

I dont want this to come across wrong, so im trying to find the perfect words. Marriage is a very special thing. Its amazing but its a lot of work, even in the ebst relationship. DOnt rush anything. When I was 18 I thought i wanted to marry my bf...thank god i didnt. Then when I was 20, i dated a guy and we even had a kid together, but i didnt marry him, i felt we were too young, thank god i didnt! i finally got married at 25 to a new man (my sailor), still young but so ready. You have your whole life to be together, dont rush at 18. Grow up together and make the descion when u r ready. 17-18 is still so young. at 25 i finally can admit im still a baby trying to learn my way through life.

Hi ladies!! My bf got to call last night and it was the best 10 minutes phone call of my life! I felt like i won a million bucks last night... So that lowered down my misery level from 10 to 9.5. :)
