My boyfriend left for bootcamp almost 3 weeks ago.. I have only gotten letters once so far and I just wanted to find out how other boyfriends have handled bootcamp the first two weeks...
TD Girlfriend- just read your post and i think your sailor is awesome for helping you make that list! I think its an awesome idea! I'm guessing by now you are already getting to the end of boot camp. You have all my best wishes and i hope things worked out! My sailor graduated BC Feb 10th but it was the hardest 9 weeks of my life. Its hard not to have those doubtful thoughts but you gotta be positive. This is not a place for a selfish woman, he needs you to be there for him, especially right now! Its a hard experience but Def makes you stronger in every way. You sound like a very smart woman and i hope you make each other very happy. God bless!
hey ladies.. my boyfriend left on 1/24/12 for bootcamp and we have been together for 1 1/2 years. Since it seems a lot of you are waiting for your man to leave, ill give a little suggestions. Now i know my boyfriend has only been gone a few days, but ive got a few things. Before my boyfriend left he wrote me a list of goals to accomplish. They consist of basic things such as go to the gym 5 days a week, eat more veggies, spend less than $15 on fast food per week, save up 1000 dollars, remember to take my makeup off before bed, take 2 exercise classes per week etc. Now i know these sound basic but they actually keep me pretty busy.i spend 12 hours a week in the gym, and take zumba and cardio kickboxing classes. i highly suggest others consider doing this goals thing. Anyways, so far this whole boot camp thing has been harder on me than i thought it would. I have done a good job of keeping busy, but i havent been able to sleep.ive been up all night worrying if he is okay, and even thinking "do i really wanna do this" . Now let me explain how me and my boyfriend were. He is the best man i have ever met in my life. Hes such an amazing influence, hes very caring, and such a true gentleman. He even send me such a sweet letter before he left that i got the day after, it made me cry. He sent me flowers too and gave me a promise ring and 2 thousand dollars to put in the bank so that i can go shopping with him when he comes home on leave! It is the first time i can actually say im in love. But i have been taking this badly, i begin to re-consider my decision. I never want to lose him, but i am the type of girl who wants someone here to cuddle with, and talk to. Im starting college in august (ive taken a year off school) and i was thinking ill probably want a guy at college. Just a warning ladies, i am so in love with my boyfriend its insane, but this whole thing is very tough, not speaking to him and such. I highly suggest you are 10000% positive this is what you want before you get yourself into a situation you can not handle. Other than all of that, all i can say is KEEP YOURSELF BUSY!!! good luck ladies! message me if you have any questions and ill try to answer.
hey everyone! So my BF is leaving for bootcamp on the 30th! we've been together for 3 years and lived together for 2 but now i'm moving back to my parents. I'm so proud of him and supportive but just pretty nervous about not being able to hardly talk to him for 2 months :/
Hi everyone, just joined this group..and I already love it :)
My boyfriend leaves in June to go overseas and I can't bear the thought of it! We ve only been together for a little over a month and we are both serious about one another. Sometimes I wonder what I've gotten myself into but then I think of how much I adore him and it all seems worth it. I know nothing about the navy though. It definitely puts my mind at ease knowing that I can talk to people online about what I'm going through and being able to share stories with them. :)
hey everyone. my boyfriend leaves in 23 days and i've been with him for 3 years. he's been in DEP for a while now, and now that its getting closer im soo nervous.
