Just wondering if there are any Moms from the Broward County.  I live in Coral Springs.  My youngest son is just finishing up A school for ET.  It's now less than a month until he comes home.  It will certainly make Christmas brighter to have him here.  Love to here from any other Moms in the area.

Hi I live in the Florida Keys, but there are a lot of moms from Miami and Broward on our site. Nice to have your son
home for Christmas. This will be our second year without our sailor, but at least we talk all the time. Happy turkey day
It must be so hard not to have him home for the holidays. I guess that could be us next year. Now that he's in A school we get to talk to him all the time. Hope you'll have Happy Holidays.
Maureen
Hi - I'm in Palm Beach County. Enjoy your son being home, mine will be at sea. I will see my heart daugher, she is in A school for ET now and will be home to share the Christmas holidays with us. Happy Thanksgiving!
What ship is she on? Ruairidh (it's pronounced Rory--sorry my husband is from Scotland and wanted the correct spelling) is on the USS Cole. I think he finishes A school before stand down. Are there any activities in the Palm Beach/Broward area for Navy Moms? Have a Happy Thanksgiving. I know Christmas will be better with your daughter home.
I live in sunrise, I have been looking for other moms in Broward county.. My son is in japan and will be home 12-31-10 at 11pm. MY son is a eng. on the ship. Hope to here from you soon.. susan
Wow were pretty close. If you know of any Navy Mom activities let me know. You'll have a Happy New Year with him home. How long has he been at sea?
Maureen
Hi, we are in Broward County. My son just graduated from high school in June and will be leaving in January for boot camp. Enjoy your holidays with your sailor..
It's so hard when they leave for boot camp. We got to spend the evening with him down at the hotel in Miami the night before he left. I managed not to cry until I was on the way home. The first few weeks were the worst. But he's really happy with his choice. We went to his PIR which is so impressive. He also got leave when he finished ATT to be best man at his sister's wedding in July. Then my youngest daughter and I went to see him in September. Once boot camp is over things get better.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
