I'm just north of Orlando. I'd love to meet with other Navy Moms! Cup of coffee and some encouragement would be awesome! My son Matt is deploying next week. Let the river of tears begin!!

Happy Thanksgiving,

I'm a Central FL Mom from Plant City. My son is on the new USS GreenBay as a Fire Control Man. Would love to "get together." I'm willing to drive North. We are Disney passholders and I'm in the Orlando area a lot.
I am a Central Florida Navy Mom. Lake Wales, FL.
Good place to get to know new people with something in common!
My son is stationed in Bahrain. Bahrain is located in the Persian Gulf just south of Kawait and borders Saudi. He is a HM2 which is medic. He works in the pharmacy and whatever medical needs arise in the absence of a doctor (for real!)
He has been in Bahrain for only 3 months and I miss him terribly...so far away. Bahrain is a "transit" base. Soldiers are coming and going. I spoke with him yesterday and a ship from Japan had just arrived. They use this base as a stopping point basically before they take off to their next port of call.
Leon has been in the Navy for 13 years and the majority of his time has been spent in Virginia Beach, VA when he wasn't on a ship. He has a family - I have 3 grandchildren and a daughter in law.
I will look forward to hearing your stories as we pray for our children/spouses safety and for the job they with such courage.
Blessings,
Toni Griffith
