FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I live in Wimauma, which is near Tampa. My son leaves in November to go to boot camp. So I am fairly new to Navy Mom's. He is going to be a RP. Love having Mom's that understand the roller coaster ride of a Navy Mom. Hope to hear from other Florida Mom's.

jamesmom i live in winter havenhaven, timesaversetc  mineine did that and he would tell u to get the job you want when u go in and then  go for spex ops.  cuz if u dont make it u can go back to it,  if not u get stuck with whatever they want to give u.  just some advice from someone ho has been there done that

I live in Lakeland my son just recently completed his schooling in Pensacola he is home now before he reports to Oklahoma for more training then to his home base in Maryland. I would be interested in getting together with you if you start a group.

anyone near st pete? I would like to start a local meetup group so we can support each other and maybe do things like make gift boxes etc for our navy brats :)

My son hasn't even been thru boot camp yet and last nite he tells me he's thinking of signing up for special ops and will be on a boat in a discrete location for a year his first year... I am so worried.

thanks paula,  i just want to cry all the time.   We will syke probably jusst on sat or sun  since there is a nine hour difference.  It is so hard  I know he is a grown man but he is still my baby.  I hate it
