Pattyb- My son already finished his ATT class and I think it was 6-8 weeks. I believe he started around the end of April beginning of May and finished the end of June. Sorry I don't have an exact time for you. But he should know his finish date for his ATT class as my son did.

How long is the ATT class?  After that I guess my son starts AE classes.  He has been in the ATT class about 10 days.

Maryhelen- I think the closest base is Jacksonville and they have a PX.

Jan there is a graduation but I was told it was small. But since I live so close still going to go to son's in Sept. Couldn't go to the oldest son's so I want to see this one. Both had or have A school in Pensacola.

There was a ceremony for Steve's A school, unfortunately there were very few family members there.  It is not considered a big a deal as the PIR

@ navymom3 - His contract is for rescue swimmer.  We are pretty sure that he will be coming back to Pensacola.

Capri- He has been there since Mar 20. His PIR was mar 18th. He just went to Corry on last monday. He was on NAS to do his ATT class. But his actual A school class starts on friday this week. It is 17 weeks long the paperwork says. But he says they have made it only 10 weeks now. So we will see after he starts how long it really will be.
