Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi. We're doing the snow bird thing. I'm in Fernandina Beach near Jacksonville. I'm also big in the packing party & pillowcase creation scene through Molly's Adopt a Sailor. Our son is a submariner, just transferred from King's Bay to Groton.Been a Navy Mom since 2008.

Hi Everyone! My son left last week for boot camp. I'm a new Navy Mom, and also a retired Navy wife and our last duty station was NAS Jacksonville...Good Times! With all of this waiting I have been doing, waiting for "the box", waiting for the "form letter", etc. I briefly thought that it has been a little harder to be a Navy Mom then I remember being a Navy Wife over the years, but it really isn't. Its just a different type of worry, and I do know that with time it gets easier. I have to just keep reminding myself that although he will always feel like my little boy, my job raising him is done, and he is quite capable as a young man now and boot camp will turn him into a proud Sailor! There were quite a few recruits that left MEPS with my son so I'm wondering if anyone else has a kid that left on 11/4?

Hi! We just moved to Naples area and I wondered if there are any Navy moms nearby. Our daughter and son in law are starting flight school in Pensacola next week.

I am in Crystal River area. My son has been in the Navy since Aug 1994 and is Senior Chief stationed in Mayport.

I live in Seminole in the Tampa Bay area. My son has been in the Navy since October 5, 2014. He is now in San Diego for more training. He is a GM.

I live in Venice. My name is Linda, my son Jeremy has been in the Navy since Dec 2012. He is In Whidbey Island now and is going on deployment in July. We are looking forward to him coming home this month for a visit before he deploys.
