For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I am also a pediatric nurse, a really horrible housekeeper, a bad cook and a great mom. I am going to miss her like crazy when she is gone. Mari has signed on to be an interpreter (what language we don't know yet).

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in NC. My son left for boot camp last Wednesday. I am still trying to adjust to him being gone. My other child is 19 months. She really misses her "bruh bruh". This site has really helped me get a feel for what he is experiencing. Praying for all that have kids new to this experience.

I am an RN at a busy hospital in Fort Worth. My youngest child, a daughter is about to leave for boot camp (June 21) any advice from anyone? I sure could use some reassurance!!

I am an NP in Fl for the past 4 years and an RN since 1999. My son is at Ship 12 Div 219 with a PIR 7/8. This is all new to me as well. He couldn't wait to get in which took him 3 yrs or so. His 1st letter 1st sentence...bootcamp sucks! I guess many feel that way in the begining. I hope this week's letter finds him in better spirits! I hope all is well with you and yours. I like they have group like this.

I'm currently in nursing school (second career after more than 20 years in telecommunications) and my daughter is in boot camp PIR 6/17/11. I've wanted to be a nurse since I was 18 (a Navy nurse, at that) but life got in the way! So now my daughter is in the Navy, and I'm in RN school. Life is good! =)

He's on the USS Hopper. He was assigned to another ship when he first got his ship--but that ship had run aground & has had problems ever since. He's awfully proud of the Hopper & what she can do.
