Dona-  Great!  How long have you been a navy mom?  My middle boy has been in for about 6 years.  State side and loves it.  Youngest son just joined- Seebee/Striker.  To boot Sept.

Been a RN for 30+ years and still love it.  Critical care background.  Currently working for a medical device manufacturing company performing clinical development into products.  Also serve as educator.

Hi everyone!!! My son is graduating from BESS school in Gorton today. I'm so happy and proud of him. He told me after BESS he will be in Gorton for A school.  I am currently a LVN starting RN school this summer through a level 2T hospital here in SoCal.  Last year was our year; my son went into the Navy and I passed my VN board! So you can image what I was feeling; nervous, scared and torn.  He is my one and only.  And even though I know he's in great hands with the NAVY, I still can't stop worrying about him.

Hope to make many friends here and share in this wonderful experience together. Candy

Happy Nurses' Day

Happy Mother's Day

Thank you for all the support I have received from this group in the last year.  Didn't know what "I" was getting into when my son joined the Navy, but I am grateful to have found such a wonderful support system in the members of N4M.  Bless your hands on this Nurses' Day and Bless your Hearts on this Mother's Day! ~Linda

Thanks Ladies! @Rose..I will certainly visit her there sounds like fun! @Gabby...my daughter was interested in search/rescue also but not quite sure how she got into Hospital Corpsman since she hates blood! I'm sure after the weather in IL any place warmer would be welcome!

Hi Brooklyn, I'm also an RN working in the OR in Houston, TX...my daughter is currently finishing up Rescue Swimmer School in Pensacola, FL. I second rose's comments...San Antonio is a great town...can be pretty hot in the summer, but your daughter should be used to the heat hailing from FL..and the 'Ride' does get easier...

Hi! I am an RN in the operating room in the St. Petersburg, FL area.  My daughter is in boot camp currently and will be graduating on May 13th!! Then it's off to A school and C school in San Antonio, TX for her Hospital Corpsman training.  This whole thing has been much harder than I expected it to be so glad I found this web site!
