@ Veronica...We used to be stationed in Lemoore 3 years ago...I know that the surrounding areas are much more developed than they were when we first got there so that is a plus...Visalia and Fresno aren't too far to do some shopping and stuff...I did not enjoy my time out there...too agricultural for me...but I am from San Diego so yeah...

Hey guys. My hubby and I are both enlisted. He just left for deployment on the Dubuque last Tuesday. Fun times. We live out in Poway [near Miramar] and I love the area so far. Once he gets back we want to rent a house rather than apartment in that area. :]

We have 2 dogs, so if anyone ever wants to have a doggy date together, let me know! I love taking my babies out whenever I can.

Hey everyone my name is Jenn and my husband is in the navy. He has been in for about 8 or 9 years and we have only been married for 2 years. I have three kids and I am looking for friends. I hope everyone is having a good day.

Hello, wives! I'm a Mom, not a Wife, but our USS ALABAMA Ombudsman just posted this on our website. Perhaps it's old news, but thought it might be helpful:

New to Military Life? Are you new to military life? Did you just get married and think to yourself: "Where do I start with this whole new Navy life thing?"

Military One Source has developed a Checklist for New Military Spouses which has A LOT of good information. Make sure to check it out!

Thanks for letting me interrupt. Ya'll are amazing ladies! Hugs, k.

CCsWifey - Your husband should be given a list of base or off-base housing to look through and choose from for you. I believe in his frist week of BUDS they are given half days to get this type of stuff done.... unfortunatly my husband didn't use that time wisely because when things get started its harder to get to the housing office because it closes before they get off. You'll find housing! You'll get about $1800 in BHA, you can look online at apartments that cost less then that or more then that depending on what you want to spend. It'll be ok.
