I have a question. Does anybody know if spouses are allowed to go with their Sailor to A-school? Has anyone been through this before? I am trying to get answers but feel like I am getting no where because I have been hearing completely opposite answers from everyone I talk to
You should be fine to go in. I had information wrong on mine but it's an easy fix. You'll need 2 forms of ID - a social security card and drivers license work. As long as your name and address is current on your ID, they can fix it when you go.
Honestly, I am not sure what to tell you about the zip code but when I got my id the first time my maiden name was in system from my old ss card. I went back and they gave me a new one with my married name on it. I would call wherever your supposed to be going to get it and check or call your husbands recruiter they may know.
I agree with NavyWife, with anything in life. It is what you make it. You can either let it get you down or you can make the time worth it. Some wives give me dirty looks when I say to have a good time. But it makes time fly by! Believe me! Of course we all have our bad days. and believe me when your sailor pulls into port he will probably go have a good time. so dont punish yourself, instead live life as normal as possible. Having a schedule of some type helps and having goals. I always suggest volunteering because it gives you something that you are passionate about and you feel like you are spending your time in a good way!
Hi everyone. I am new to this group. I have been married to my sailor for almost 4 years now and we have a beautiful soon to be 3 year old son. I am going through my first deployment at the moment...any words of wisdom, encouragement etc.?Well, I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday!
Wynona make sure you find a doctor that is a network providor for Tricare or you may end up paying a lot out of pocket!! Look on Tricare's website and they have a list of doctors that are contracted with Tricare. and call and ask if they are accepting new tricare patients!
Good Morning Ladies!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas =0)
My husband is in BC and this was our first Christmas apart in 10 years so it was definitely wierd not having him there...Thank god for our little guy (4yo) who has kept me busy and sane throughout this whole thing!
I received my first few set of letters on Friday and my first official phone call yesterday so I'm in great spirits and so happy to hear that he's doing well =0)
@abuon18, wow! that's really helpful. I am glad that I got it before he left cause I recognize I need that in almost every situation about the military.
Thanks for that information. Appreciate it. :)
