You are welcome! I hope all works out!! I am glad you got to talk to him!! I missed all calls until the week before he came back bc of work. :( but I was so glad I got to hear his voice!

Yea he said he wished they would have pretended it wasn't Christmas all together and he will be deployed this xmas but shouldnt be the next year (his ship is getting drydocked.) So I am already planning the best Christmas ever to make up for the last two years. :) lol

Where is his A school? Hopefully they let him leave! I know when my hubby was in A school they let his friend leave but there was also complications when his baby was born. also I think that its a lot easier to take leave if they havent classed up, and I bet with him just getting there he would still not be in classes yet. Fingers crossed! Good luck I hope everything works out!

Thank you Brittany and Meagan for you advice. I figured that all I could do was hurry up and wait. I was able to talk to him on Friday, which was so sweet. He had to call home for some business questions, but whoever had him make the phone call also let him talk for 15 minutes! It was so sweet to hear his voice especially since I didn't expect him to get a phone call that early or even at all for that matter.

He was very emotional especially when our 2 year old got on the phone and told him, "I uh do Daddy". (I love you Daddy). We have been friends since the 5th grade and have never been apart without contact for at least 8 years. I am doing really well, but I worry about him. I'm not used to being the strong one :)

I hope that he does not have to run until he throws up on Christmas, that would be awful!

His graduation date is January 27th, so he will be there 9.5 weeks all together and will fly to his A school location the very next day. The 27th is only 10 days from my due date, so hopefully God will allow this baby to be late! We have been told that he may get a couple of days of emergency leave if he is at A school when the baby comes, but we are not holding our breaths on that one. I am just trying to be thankful for the time I will have with him and not angry for the time he is gone.

Thanks for the support!

hmm thats weird that they extended his bootcamp bc of the holidays... they dont have holiday stand down or anything. My husband said Christmas was just another day except they got steak for dinner then their RDCs decided they were going to make them run to see how long it would take someone to throw up. He went Dec 13th and was done by Feb 11th.

Youll get a form letter in about 2/3weeks with his grad info, address etc. Youll also get a seperate letter with a form you can take to any military base to get your id. It should have info about ins in there, all you can do is wait. When you get your id you are automatically on standard, which consist of copays etc. If you want you can print out a form and mail it in to get on Prime, which is all free you will be assigned a pcm, if you dont live near a base you can choose any tricare doc as your pcm

Hello Everyone,

My hubby left for Boot Camp on November 22nd. I haven't gotten any info on how to get a military ID or on our new insurance. Also, when he got there he was able to call home for about 20 seconds and tell me that he is safe and that his Boot Camp will be extended by 2 weeks because he will be there over the holidays. I havent found out his graduation date or his address yet so that I can write him. I did get his belongings back in a box already, but it didn't have any information along with it. Any advice? Especially in the insurance area? I am pregnant and really need to get all of that stuff worked out ASAP!
