I am at the Navy Gateway in GL right now...its awesome for 32 a night!  Wow I was impressed!  The room is big, nice bed, and a small fridge and microwave...and wifi!  It has definitely saved me a ton of money!

:)  Congrats on the one year anniversary! Mine is on Monday! :)

Here is the name of the hotel:

Candlewood Suites

Ask to talk to Ellen. She is the manager. Tell her Mrs. Birkbeck with the baby who was born there sent you! LOL, she'll remember me.  The price is a little more than a normal hotel, but I felt very, VERY safe there, and having a baby there was comfortable too. I would suggest the studio, but the 1 bedroom was nice too. I started out in the 1 bedroom, but switched to the studio, due to the price. I hope that helps. Also, feel free to message me with any more questions. I'd love to help!

Navy Wifey-  If you have the money to get to GL's to visit, I know of a really nice place to stay that is pretty inexpensive for what you get. It's about 13 minutes from base, in a good area of town. After he has passed phase 1 in A-school, he could ask for overnight liberty with you (most the time their requests are accepted). I did that while he was there, in fact, my baby was born up there and they let him come to the birth! Anyways, that is just a thought. If you want some information on where I stayed and the managers name, let me know! I'd love to help out.

Hi ladies. My husband is currently in A school at GL. I can't wait to be with him again. I miss being a little family. I know he is missing me and his 6 month old beautiful baby boy and that makes things tough some days.
