Hi BFair!  It gets easier, my hubby is PIR 5/6.  The letters start pouring in and the time really starts to fly by.  Is your hubby going to be on sub duty or no?

Just found out that my husband graduates A school on June 10 and that he should get his orders in about 2 weeks. After that, I'll be stressing about moving!

So jealous, I want to move to SD!  Hubby is still in boot camp though so moving is a long way away.

Courtney -- that's great!! So nice to only have to move a short distance, I guess ours is fairly short too, we are from Oregon, so at least we don't have to fly!! Haha we will be looking into housing too...they look really nice for the SD area!  We are so excited, have been wanting to move down for ages!  It looks so beautiful down there!!

Tropikal- yay! We already live in north county SD. Now that my hubby is stationed here, we'll move into housing sometime over the summer. I hope you enjoy it! We've grown up here and think SD is the best! :)

This is really funny!  33 is the magic number!  My husband is also 33!!  Yes, very nice to know there are other "older" Sailors just starting out!

Courtney - SD as in San Diego?  We will be moving there next month!!

My hubby is 33 also... We should have a group for older recruits/sailors :) It's nice to know my hubby isn't the only "older" one. He is in C school now and will be home to SD in 13 days! :)

Hi. As an intro, my husband left for Great Lakes on Tuesday April 5th. I just got his address yesterday but have not received PIR date yet. He is (or will be) an LS on a Submarine so he will go to MS for A School then CT for Sub School.

We have been married almost 2 years with a little girl. We just spent our first week without him and realized, we are pretty lame. He was the excitment in our household. I came home to his box on the front porch yesterday and it took my breath away.

We are excited and somewhat ready for the new adventures we have ahead of us, but I have quickly learned that taking things one day at a time may be a new pattern for me for a long time to come.

I am glad to have a group to join that will understand and inform. Thanks to everyone for being here.
