FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey, Im new to this site, but I was just wondering what you ladies do to keep yourselfs busy. My hubby has been deployed for a while now and I tend to sit at home more often then I would like. Lol, I also have a question about shipping our second POV how do I go about doing that? Any answers will be helpful and highly appreciated! Thank you!!!

I live in chula vista. Its a nice area. But it you go to housing on base they will refer you to alot to look at. Make sure to have your husband try to request ten days of house hunting leave. Also make reservations at the navy lodge and get ahold of your husbands sponsor for any questions.

My husband deploys in five days!!! I'm so nervous. I have been in san diego for about a month now and haven't made many friends! Where is everyone???

Hi sarahhh...I moved to SD about a month ago. My husband is station at 32nd street as well. San diego is beautiful and there is always something to do. You'll love it.

The form # is 1173 Deers form. :) I got my ID without my hubby, I just had to bring my SSC, my marriage certificate, my drivers license and also my passport. (They don't need the passport, but sometimes they require more ID, so if you have something extra, bring it along just for good measure!
