As far as the id.... he will have to take you to base and go to PSD. There they will look at your picture ID and birth certificate (or SS card) then they will look at your marriage certificate and make you an ID. If he is not in the smae place yo uare he needs to go see a yeoman in his command and ask them for the form ( I forget the number though) and you will need to take the form and the previously mentioned IDs and marriage certificate to a local base and they can help you ( call ahead and ask what the hours are and what you need exactly) and it can be any military base. I got my first one at an Air Force base.

As far as the dity move... He will get the papers he needs from his command. You will need to weigh your truck empty and loaded and keep ALL gas receipts. He can ask for some of the money up front for the move and they will reimburse you for the rest after you get there and fill out the paperwork and send it in BUT if you do not do the paperwork and send it in they will not pay you and will take the money back that they fronted for your move. I don't know your husbands rank so I don't know the weight you are allowed to move. It varies based on the rank and dependents. The amount of money is different for each move and it is based on how much stuff you have, how far you move, and all that good stuff. Militaryonesource.com has a lot of helpful info on moving.

I called my husband's recruiter yesterday and got his address. I'm so excited to send off the first letter today. Does anyone have a husband or family member in Ship 02 Div 952?

I look forward to receiving the form letter with the address of where to write my husband. I'm looking forward even more to his PIR. I got a call from him last night and it lasted only 47 seconds. It was super quick, just hello and I love you and I gotta go. I'm glad I found this forum for support. My husband is going to be a SeaBee!
