Sorry. I have been on a PIR high!! The 21st sounds great. I can bring whatever is needed! Hopefully we will have clear skies by then. My experience with nice parks in this area is a bit limited. Looking forward to it!

I only hear crickets...LOL Just kidding...I only wanted to get your attention.

In regards to the potluck, I will start by taking the main dish...how does wings and pulled pork sands sound?
How does the date of Sat 9/21 work out for all of you? Any ideas on a location? I hope we can make this work as it would be fun to meet you all. I also want to send a note to our recruiter about it before the next DEP meeting in case other Moms want to join us.

Hey Northern Nevada Navy Moms...let's start to plan this potluck for September. I would say we need to figure out who wants to bring what.  So...if you have a preference for bringing a certain dish...let us know and I will keep track.

We should have an:

APPETIZER
SALAD
SIDE DISH
MAIN DISH
DESSERT
FRUIT?

Ok...so I'm thinking Saturday, Sept 21st will be a good date to have our Northern Nevada Navy 4 Moms picnic.  Does this date work for all of you that are interested?  I will put together more details as we lock this date down.  If you have a particular park that you really like or prefer, let us all know.  That's the one thing I LOVE about Reno is that there are so many GREAT parks!  We could chose Rancho San Rafael or even a small neighborhood park.  I live in the Northwest and my FAVE neighborhood park is called Rainbow Ridge.  It has a nice pavilion and it's not crowded ever and there is LOTS of room to run around if you have any youngens.  I'm so excited to meet all of you!

Kelly W...I was just tossing a date out there to see what would work best. We can totally make it work out with another date. How fun that you get to scout a wedding location for your daughter.
Luckymomx4...your son graduates BC early Oct right? Maybe we can make it the 3rd week of Sept. as long as the weather holds out.
Ski-nanny...hope you will still be here by then. Keep us posted.
Any other Northern Nevada Moms interested? The more the merrier!

I would love too. I will be gone the weekend of September 14 & 15. Going to Sedona to scout places for my daughters wedding. Any other time I will be there. Potluck sounds great!

I'm interested as well and think pot luck is terrific!

I'd be interested in meeting up, if we are still in the area! :)  I think pot-luck style is a great idea.

Hello Nevada Moms!

I am thinking about planning an N4M picnic for Moms in Northern Nevada. I think it would be GREAT for us to form a network to fall back on when needed. I know we all are at different stages of our Future Sailor or Sailor's career in the Navy, but each of us has something to contribute and we can all relate to each other.

It would be GREAT if we made this picnic potluck-style so that one person isn't forking out the cost for everything. I'm thinking maybe the 2nd weekend in September would be a good time as the temps will be a bit more comfortable. Please let me know if you are interested.
