Wow.....hello everyone:)  I have to say I hardly check this site anymore, for some reason my computer freezes on the whole N4M site.  It seriously takes 10 minutes for just one page to open.

Anyway, Chris and Jacob (and Sasha the dog) drove from VA to NH a few weeks ago and stayed for a week.  We had a lot of fun and Jacob is getting cuter by the minute, he's 22 months now.  Jennifer is out on deployment, she's on the "Ike" so Chris is playing the Daddy/Mommy role, just like she did last year.  That's about it for us.  I'll try to stay in touch!!

Wow, I haven't been on here for ages!  I'd like to say "Welcome" to all the new members!!!  Glad you've joined us here.  You've come to the right place for support and understanding.  This site was my salvation while my son was in boot camp!  Who knows better what you're going through than other Moms!

So much has happened since I was on here last.  My son came home in June (before deployment) and got married!  Yup, now I'm a mother-in-law!  I promised my son I would be a good one.  I also lost my job, was unemployed for about 5 months (enjoyed every day of it) and am now working part time. Enjoying this as well!  It's nice to have a little time to myself.

My son is on his first deployment and I'm missing him.  I got to talk to him Saturday, first time in 2 months.  I have to remember I no longer come first now but that's OK because he married such a wonderful girl.  She always lets me know when she's talked to him and fills me in.

I have a question, does anyone know what kind of phone card I can send to my son so that he can use it to call from the ship???  He currently has an AT&T International card but he said it's only good in port.

Again, welcome to all the new ladies!

My son just started A school and one of his roommates is from Portsmouth. Blair, maybe? Any one out there related to him?  We're from Derry. Small world.

Verdi. My son's PIR was back in April. It is such a wonderful experience I had so many emotions going on pride for my son's accomplishment, pride in my country, anxiety over what he had been through and what was ahead for him, but the ceremony was and will always be a wonderful memory. Enjoy the day and your Sailor!

Heading to Great Lakes PIR next Friday the 17th. Anyone from NH going as well?I'm glad this site is here. I'm really not at all informed about Navy life and I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.

Hi Fellow NH Moms!  My son doesn't leave for BC until September 27th, but I'm soaking up all the information I can get on what he's about to go thru.
