Hi keke's mom, I'm from Bow & our son just arrived at GL yesterday, we got his "quick call" last night. I am also very grateful for this site & have learned so much here since last week! This is definitely a roller coaster...& I'll be on the loop coaster in August when our youngest son leaves for college! Whew! I saw your post & just thought I'd say HI Neighbor!

Hello all, not sure how much activity there is on this site but I thought I'd touch base and introduce myself. My son has been in Boot Camp for 4 weeks and graduates on 8/6/10 (4 weeks from today!!). We can't wait, so excited to fly out for his PIR. I am very grateful for this site, it has been keeping me sane during this emotional roller coaster ride of emotions. I live in Hooksett, just north of Manchester and south of Concord. Just wanted to jump in and say "Hello".

Sorry I'm late Jennifer.......but I do agree with the others, there's so much to love here (I was born in MA and moved to NH 5 years ago both states are pretty much the same weather wise) The fall is so beautiful and the more activities you can get involved in during the winter will help the time pass and can be tons of fun (we ice fish all the time). Just don't be afraid to spend $$$ on GOOD warm outerwear. Let us know if you need anything and welcome to you both :)

Happy Easter to all!!
And Marcia, thanks for the compliment on Chris, I kinda think he's handsome too LOL and his daughter Laylah will be a year in May. Although he and her mom are not together, she is also in the Navy and just got stationed in Jax too. But he's taking her to court because she won't let him see the baby. I am glad he's stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing.

Have a great day and horray for the sunshine! And sorry I didn't reply earlier, we were fortunate and weren't affected by the floods :)

Hi Marcia,
Thank you! No Chris came home Dec 8th and now he's Jax, he's on an Air Base. He likes his job but not the area too much. He's been in about 2-1/2 years too and signed for four. But he is already talking of resigning which I'm in favor of as there are NO jobs here, college or not.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site. My son Chris is stationed in Jacksonville FL and hasn't been there too long. He was in Maine and then deployed to Africa. We live in Spofford which is pretty close to the VT border
