Hi all and I am so glad I found this site for NM... I was wondering and ran across a discussion for all states and here we are. My son will be leaving Dec 8th to BC. We are very excited and proud....I am looking for the Blue Stars mom in my area of Rio Rancho. Are there any other moms who are from Albuq or Rio Rancho?

Hello everyone, been awhile since I talked to anyone. How is everyone? I just got an email about someones child leaving for bootcamp in Febuary 2011. It will be a year in Feb. that Mary left for bootcamp. She's now in Japan and loving it. Sara is still in South Carolina in Nuke school. Went in August for her first of three graduations. It's been hard with my girls gone but it's given my husband and I a reason to travel. We're planning a trip to Japan in a year and and half. Mary is there for 3yrs. Well, hope everyone is doing great. I hope to write more often.

I have also joined Blue Star Moms, in Rio Rancho, but haven't gone to a meeting yet. We go back east to see family every June, so I will probably go to the meetings when we get back.

Sharon, I'm so sorry to hear that your son is not happy. That must be so hard for both of you. :( Would you mind if I asked why he isn't happy with the Navy life? I'm just trying to get all the info I can before my son goes in. I would like to see both sides of the coin.

Thanks, navyblumom, (sorry I didn't see your name). It's good to know that. My son and I are pretty close now, so I am hoping that will continue.
I bet he looked very handsome in his dress whites.
