I would love to but not sure with my kids and going to school, I could pull this off. Honestly taking the Admirals wife out scares me to death.. Do you know what dates this would be?

navybluemom - It will be a year September 14th that Mary has been in Japan. She has another two years.  The only thing thats hard is the language barrier.  She does a lot of pointing lol. She trys to call me once a week, and the last time I talked to her she was home sick.  She wanted my recipe for salsa and some other home comfort foods.  I guess it was a hit with her friends on base.  I try not to cry but when I got off the phone with her I did.  It's hard to hear your kids say their home sick and not be able to do anything.  Was Japan his first choice?  What I've learned is that they usually go with someones first choice.

Hello NM moms. It's been awhile since I've written.  Everything is well, Mary is still in Japan.  She came home in April, her sister Sara who's in Nuke school in South Carolina graduated from power school and she flew out for that celebration and then both girls came home for a week or so and then went back.  Now my son Michael joined the Navy and leaves for bc Feb. 1, 2012.  I'll need to change my user name to mom of three lol.  I just pray for strength. Well hope everyone is doing good.

He will be heading to Cherry Point, NC for a home base. He will go to CL for FMTB in October and back to Cherry Point. He will be attached to Marine unit and pretty much go where they go from my understanding.
