welcome mareluc. we are all here to support you. My son was in BC last july and now in A school in Gulfport. You will go through many emotions in the next few months. There is a lot of information here that is really helpful too.
Hello everyone. My name is Maryann. My son is leaving for boot camp on April 26th so I still have some time left with him. I am new to NavyforMoms.com and look forward to sharing everyone's experiences!
Hi all have not been on in a long time.
Vicky read everything you can on this web site. I knew more of what was going to happen to my son then he did. Once he was out of bc life became much easier. He has been in florida, mississippi and is now stationed in Va.
Patricks mom you must be getting ready to go to PIR this week. Have a great time
Hi, I'm Holly. I live in Oswego & my son is at boot camp now. His PIR is 2/10/12. He left on 12/08 & the only phone call we've received was the "I've arrived & I'm alive" call. It's okay though, no news is good news, or so I keep telling myself. Our son will be a nuke on subs. He's following in his father's footsteps who was a nuke ET on subs for 20 years. Counting down the days to PIR & looking forward to hugging my boy, with pride.
Hi, I'm a new Navy Mom from Rochester, NY. My son left for bootcamp 11/21/11 and has a PIR date of 1/27/12. It's been a tough first few weeks, but his first call home to me on Christmas Eve Day cerftainly MADE my Christmas. Only 4 more weeks til PIR! If I've made it through the first few weeks, I KNOW I can make it through the last few. Hearing my son's voice, and hearing how positive he is, makes it so much easier to bear.
Happy New Year New York Moms!
I would like to wish all of U N.Y. State moms Happy Hoildays
