Hi judy welcome; you should start to get mail more frequently. Just keep writing letters. I use to send one out every 2-3 days. His would cross with mine, but I new it was always nice to get mail. One of his bunk mates even wrote me and I would write him too. Make sure you get to graduation if you can, its really nice. My son is now in Va for the next 3 year so its not to far

Hi everyone, I'm from Auburn. My daughter left for BC July 27. Anxiously awaiting that first letter.

just want to pass on that US air does not charge military for baggage. Most of the airlines do unless your duty station is being changed. My son was just home on leave for 2 weeks, went back with a  very heavy bag. Just showed military ID and no charge. Dont know if its only good for one bag.

Hi All, I haven;t been in here for awhile, I am from Schdy.. My son was deployed in Japan, but is now back in the states. I can't wait to see him. He re-upped  before he left. HE has school then to his  new duty station where ever that might be. But its great to have  him back on US soil.

Thanks Julie...I need all the support I can get.  My son and I just had the discussion about us meeting him at meps for the swearing in.  We wouldn't miss it for the world.  I'll be a complete mess when I have to leave.  Has it gotten easier for you?
