OMGsh Kym, I will keep him in my prayers for sure.

I know how bad that is to want to be right by the side of our sick kids. I hope he is recovering well.

Kay is in Guam, not much to do there. She gets bored and then get upset. Oh well, not every deployment will be so "boring" or nice for that matter. They do not leave the camp much. She has been sick a few times, nothing serious. Strep was the worst, and the ear infection.

Keep me posted with how he is doing, I will have him added to the prayer list at church.

I hope everyone is doing well. So far it seems as this deployment is dragging!

We have had some "Good" news, Kay got a special evaluation, she is able to take her PO test in March instead of after they get back from deployment.

Now wondering how she will handle it all. She is close to finishing up with the scw's (spelling). This will leave murder board, while she is studing for her PO test.

They have had issues with electricity, first night a tree snake was on the wires, second night a pole dropped..... so she was running around keeping the generators going with 3 others. I said atleast she was prepared!!! This is what I remember her saying about FEX!!!!

Ok, I am off to bed, seems as I will not get a call tonight from my kiddo. lol always tomorrow.

Kym- her mom is gonna be so mad!!!

I am not sure if mine kiddo ever went to the PO Box. Her grandmother sent things almost 2 weeks ago, those are going to be some very hard brownies.... I have been sick and unable to do much, push myself to go to work (most likely where I got this crap work in the school) so I told her things would be there after Christmas.

Kym, yes i got the address as well. Thank goodness! Tobianne, how in the heck are you? L is doing great. Much to tell but not on here. Thank you so very much for picking L up when her car broke down. I know K and L are good friends. I would of loved to see them hang out more. I just love  K! L will be going to 5 and K to 3? I'm sure they will keep in touch with facebook. In some ways I feel like this deployment will go by fast. Enjoy your thanksgiving and we will catch up later.

Kym,

I say go to the post office, they are much cheaper than Fedex, since they have APO/FPO flat rate boxes. I sent my husband stuff already and it was like $15 for the one box, no matter what the weight it is.Just to save everyone some money.

Julieb- How is "L"?  Kay said she misses her. I did meet her when I was there. Actually met her the night she had the car trouble, she is a very pretty young lady. It was funny, Kay said many would confuse her and "L", now I kind of see why.

Hope that is wonderful news, makes me proud to know our Seabee's are moving and they light is there.

Kay will take her test while on deployment, Hoping I get that wonderful news also.

My 12 year old is going to Early College Middle School (ECA), She is doing great and just said she is interested in the Naval Academy. Ladies, I am so proud she wants to follow her sister to the Navy, but unsure I can do this all over again with another daughter. lol

Well, I am off to get started for dinner tomorrow.

Have a wonderful Thanks Giving and I hope everyone gets calls, or texts.

Kym, let me know if you get an APO address for Timor. I sent a Fed Ex package and it was very very expensive so hopefully we can get that address. I know there is a post office in Dili. I know they don't have access to that so I guess we just wait!

Welcome Devon! My husband is in 40 and was deployed on the 7th and is stationed in Port Hueneme right now. I am here as well. I love it here. Yes, the battalion is getting decommissioned after this deployment but he should already know where he is going to be stationed. If he doesn't know what battalion he is going to I would say stay put until he figures out exactly where he is going to be stationed. I found out right before my husband left that he is staying here in Hueneme. But I'd say see if he knows where he is going before deciding to move.

Kym- how is your Seabee doing? mine went snorkeling this past weekend, said she is burned pretty good. She is so fair anyway, of course she did not wear any sunblock (I am sure)!!!

Devon-welcome, and yes you heard right. Not sure where your husband will go, my daughter is joining the 3. She is also on deployment, not all of the 40 are in the same place. He should know shortly after he leaves (maybe before) where he will be going. Mine is staying in Port Hueneme. Where on the East Coast are you? I am in Ohio. My daughter is 19 and she is a CE.

Did you mean he funished A-school? Some do C-school, but most go from A-school to ECS and then to duty station.
