My son asked for the Koolaid mixes. He doesn't like the sweetners... beef jerky. Yeah, the air freshner sounds good! Maybe Sea Breeze or Mountain Fresh, lol. Sounds good. Got the USPS boxes, sending one a week. He said he showers everyday so he doesn't need wipes but I bet the guys out all day do. Love this site, Thanks. Julie

I sent a package and it took about 2 weeks to get there. Individual drink mix packs are good to send. They have plenty of water but it helps to add a little flavor to it. Baby wipes are another good thing to send as well as some sunscreen.

My son is IT on base working nights, 12 hours difference so I get to FBook with him a lot during the day. He sounds real good. Says it's too hot to sleep after noon... Plus he has no blanket or sheet or pillow. So a sleeping bag and pillow are on there way. He said they have lots of TP, haha. Hopefully that isn't true for the guys on base anyway... I am sending some PT shorts he asked for. It's been a week and he hasn't gotten 1 box yet. Blessings, Julie

Talked to my son this morning. All are doing well and things are going as planned. Know what you mean about staying by the computer too much.

My son left today to go to NMCB 40 at Port Hueneme. I've already talked to his senior officer and his wife who is the FRG VP. Any questions email her at
nmcb40frgvicepresident@gmail.com. I think it stands for Family Resource Group?
Her name is Stephanie. She has been with her husband in the Navy for a long time and has a lot of information. Best to all... Julie

Thank You so much, Hope! Glad to hear people are great.
My son Adam will be in with IT. He is coming from 2 + years on the
Abraham Lincoln, aircraft carrier. He is from Huntington Beach so he will
be close to home base! Of coarse I hope everyone stays safe in deployment!

My son, Adam, is coming to Port Hueneme!! He will be stationed with NMCB 40!!
I hope they are good to him, he is a real, good guy. Right now he is being held a few extra days in Pensacola because of dental delay and might miss the 4th of July with his whole family in one place at one time. He will be going to Afghanistan with a group in August... God Speed to all the troops!! xo
