sissi,

you won't find it on the internet.  when they had one sailor shot (and kill) last july 4th there was a very (and i mean very) small comment in the paper but it never even mentioned he was in the navy.  they keep that kind of stuff pretty quiet.

OMG  Grasshopper, how sad. I feel so bad for the Sailor and his family. My heart goes out to them. I will pray for your son too. It must have been terrible for him to be there.

Navy 25...My Son is on the Boat Crew which means rather than patroling the piers he's out on a patrol boat so no he was not the one to find him but of course all the MA's stay in touch especially on waterside.  I didn't get the full details from my Son or my Cousin as to who found him.  It is so sad for all involved though!

Asking for prayers from my Navy Mom Sisters.  My son who is an MA that patrols waterside was going on Duty last night and found out a young man shot himself as he was going off Duty from a ship in Norfolk.  My Cousin is stationed on this ship and was also going on Duty.  I don't know if I should say the ships name due to OPSEC because this ship is not usually docked in Norfolk.  Please just keep this young man's family in your prayers.

I would also like to ask for prayers for all of our Military as we know that credilble information is out there for threats of attacks.  I especially pray for those standing guard and protecting us here on U.S. soil and risking their lives standing vigilantly watching every suspicious thing they see.  I pray for wisdom and strength for them and more than anything safety for them.  I pray for all the Military Mom's worrying about their Sons and Daughters standing watch and risking their lives...I pray for a sense of peace to know they will be safe!

Thank you all!!  I so appreciate all of my Navy Mom Sisters!!

Yes, they want us there for advice only when they ask for it! lol  We do have to remember they are adults which can be so hard to remember sometimes with the questions they ask us. lol

I'll be praying for a good outcome for his ticket as well!
