Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

Ladies...
One of our moms, Stacy R, has recieved news that her sailor was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning in Norfolk....He was serving on the NY there were 2 others involved, I believe they were injured, don't know any details please keep these families in your prayers.

Happy Thanksgiving. Melissa, the patio sounds great, but I have a bad sore throat, so think it is chicken soup for me. haha.
I cooked my turkey on Monday as we are supposed to go to my neighbor's house. I'll see how I feel in a couple of hours.

76 tomorrow here in Tucson. We'll be dining on the patio! Now that the nice weather is back, I can brag!! Notice how I travel a lot during the summer?? lol Thanksgiving Blessings to All of You and Yours!!

The ships are not leaving, The port has been closed by the Coast Guard. They would have left 48 hours ago if they were going to leave.
