Congratulations Grayce! We will have to get together for lunch sometime. I'm between Hickory and Conover (St Stephen's area). What is your sailor going to do after bootcamp? My son is in Japan (actually at sea right now) and is expecting his first baby in a few weeks. He has been in 5 years soon and is looking at possibly re-upping for another 4-6 years. There are a few moms here with sailors who have been in awhile so come on over here and chat with us.
I'm in the Lenoir/Granite Falls/Hickory area and my stepson arrived in GL Sept. 11th. I am so grateful for this site. It's been a Godsend!
HI all I'm in Charlotte (near Matthews) I'd love to participate in a local get together.
Hi Deb, I would like to form a group. I work in Mint Hill currently for Carolinas HealthCare System. Hopefully we can get a few more local moms the support is key. I wish I knew about this earlier I would have handled things a little better early on :)
Hi Debbie & Lisa & Lori, My name is Deb & I lived in Mint Hill for 10 years, and recently moved just 20 minutes north of Salisbury. My son's PIR is 10/4. I don't know of a local group other than the Triad moms, but would also be interested in one more towards the Concord area since it's more familiar to me. I'm game if y'all are interested in putting something together.
Hi Debbie, I'm Lisa we live in Harrisburg too. My son's PIR is 10/11, he will remain in GL's for A school. I would love to learn about a local group also.
Welcome, dclark7909nc! I don't know about the Charlotte or Concord area, but we Triad-area moms are planning our next get-together for possibly Oct. 19th or Nov. 2nd, at the IHOP near Wendover and I-40 in Greensboro. Everyone is welcome.
Hey all you NC Moms, hope all is well. Are there any groups that meet up in the Charlotte or Concord area? I have 74 days till Eric leaves for BC and I am having so much emotion running thru my mind and heart
Hello, My name is Debbie and my son leaves for BC in November and I live in Harrisburg NC
