It was great to meet the Triad moms at IHOP in July. We will be at a basketball tournament for our daughter for the next gathering if we keep it to the 26th. Keep in touch because if the tournament date changes ....then I will be there.
Proud Navy Mom, I looked at your profile. I don't know if your son was in NJROTC at Mooresville or what year he graduated, but my son went to the military ball there one year when he was dating a girl from Moorseville he had met during a drill meet. It could be that our sons have also met briefly. Too cool!
Ok. Somewhere out there is a mom who lives VERY close to me who has a son in the same squadron as my son. It is likely that she is not a N4M member but if she is I would love to meet her. Her sailor is not only in my son's squadron but they went to the same high school. Her son would have graduated in 2011 and lived in eastern Hickory. I know his name, but I don't know his rating. He and my son discovered each other this week and have been having fun talking about classes, instructors, hs hangouts, neighborhood restaurants, etc. It's a small world!
K.D.~~ COUNT ME IN!!! any time you get together :)
We live in Cary. Thanks for the welcome!
Hello all! My son left for BC earlier today. He sent a quick text just a little while ago letting me know that he had landed safely in Chicago; now I wait for the call that he's at RTC! Anyone else here from the western Triad area (Davie County)?
Irishgirl, That would be great to do a lunch or coffee sometime near Asheville. Let me know when you would like to meet.
