Hi ladies,
OK, I need some encouragement. I have not received my form letter yet. My son went to boot camp on 4/2/13. I have been thinking that the letter would coming the past 2 days. I so hope that it comes today! I have gone ahead and booked a hotel. I hope his PIR is 5/31/13! Oh, my son is a Nuke.
Another Nuke! Welcome, Missy!
Hi MomThat LovesHerSon,
My son has finished prototype and is currently in welding school in Groton, CT. When he finishes the training, he'll be an Emergency Nuclear Welder on a sub (the USS Cheyenne).
I know this is a hard time for you now; it's so hard when you can't call or even text your baby. Adam was allowed to call me a couple of times while he was in boot camp, and I savored every minute!
Once he gets to Goose Creek, you'll at least be able to contact him (if he has his own phone), although he will be very, very, very busy when classes start.
Who's son is in boot camp now?
Hi Adam'sProudMom,
Is your son in boot camp, A school, power school, or prototype school?
Welcome, MomThatLovesHerSon! There are several of us Nuke moms here in the NC group.
Hello everyone, my son left last Tue. 4/2/13 for boot camp. I got the slip want a signature for the box. So hopefully, with the slip signed, FedEx will leave the box!!
Then after the box, I will be waiting for the form letter.
I don't know for sure, but I think his PIR will be 5/31/13. He is a Nuke, so he will be going to Charleston for A school.
So glad to have found this group!!
Welcome Chele! I know you are anxious but proud!
Hi! I just found this group. I've been on N4Ms for a few weeks. My son left for BC March 12 out of Raleigh and his PIR is May 10. We are from Creswell - about an hour west from Nags Head.
