Navymomx2, try www.public.navy.mil/surfor/cg67 there are tabs on the fight side at the top such as "Family" and underneath are links to useful info. Some of the things may only be accessible to Navy with proper authorization. Hopefully it will help you somewhat.

google USS Shiloh, there is likely a webpage for both the ship and the base. Otherwise, there might be a page for the battle group that Shiloh steams with.

Shiloh has a facebook page but the last picture posted there was 2010. :/

Does anyone know if USS Shiloh has a group on here. Since that is where my son is going after July I thought I might get some info on this ship and the base.

Oh OK Mary :) battlebuddy My son has been on the Tortuga since July 2011. I agree that N korean leader is acting like a spoiled brat lunatic.

Frankly, NK is not a big problem. My son was stationed to SK right after they launched a failed rocket back in '09. I was so afraid for Chris to be there. Most of the problem is having Kim Jung Un in control now, no one really knows yet how his mind works.

He has been there since May
2011. They are finally back, but pray N Korea stops all this craziness!

Navymomx2, G-dub is the nickname for the George Washington. My son is not attached to the ship. He is attached to one of the squadrons of planes that is attached to the ship.

battlebudy, how long has your son been on the Germantown? Mary, what is G-dub?

Navymomx2...percussionvalentine also has a son on Tortuga. I do not remember his rate. All three though are at Sasebo. Mine is, for now, the only one at Atsugi. When he goes to sea though he is on the G-dub out of Yokosuka.
