Ooops. The part about having me and Chris there to help you if he has CHF did not sound promising. Sorry. I meant you have some folks to help educate you and hubby. I have researched it for 27 mos now. I can offer some good book titles etc on how to help him live long enough to irritate you. :-)

Geez battlebuddy, I hope they found the troubled valve in time to replace the valve before having caused Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). So a possible option may be a pig valve or bovine valve transplant?? I have heard of several people in my area living with them for many years. If he does have CHF already, then you have me and Chris here to help you.

Most any time works for me to meet up. Due to OPSEC I will not post dates but  my son and DIL will be coming home for a brief visit in March. I know there are a few dates in there that I will not be available. Feb 23rd I already have plans but then the next couple of weeks and weekends look free.

Wow. Beachbum, I believe our Sailors graduated from Boot Camp together. 2/11/11. My son is stationed in Sasebo Japan. It's not easy. Very little communication and lots of obstacles with the 14 hour time difference. His ship is out to sea right now and it's almost been a month now without any type communication. Mary we just found out my husband has Aortic Valve Stenosis, we meet Friday with the Doctors in High Point. We shall see... We should try to meet for coffee or lunch on a Saturday morning sometime in March/April. What do you think? What date would work for everyone

Cool, Chris! I will count on a visit from you while I am in. I had to make a brief visit to Mayo Heart Cntr in Jax when my son's ship docked one day at Mayport. I prefer my NC doctors, both at UNC and here in Hickory.

Mary, I do not work on the heart team here, I did in FL.  But I will be there for you!

wow!! such a nice little coffee! Yes, this all sounds like fun, we do need to plan this soon. Beachbum and Adam's mom...sounds great!

Chris, Ray's mom, do you happen to work on the heart transplant team? :-) Next surgery will be late spring or maybe summer (artificial heart).

I am in Midway ( winston / lexington). Would love to meet with you all! My son is in Florida on the Hue City leaving for redeployment next week, could use the moral support of other navy moms!

You guys are starting to sound like the Wilmington area moms!!!!!!!!!  Have a wonderful time together and try to get together once a month if possible.  I learn so much when we are together!  It's a wonderful time of fellowship that only those of us in the Navy family understand.  Great job ladies!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, battlebuddy, Chris, Mary, motheroftwo, and Christa.  I'm in the Archdale/Trinity area, just a few minutes up 85 from motheroftwo.  I'd love to join you, too, if I can.
