Terry, Where is Ft. Gordon? My daughter is married to a Coastie stationed at St. Mary's, GA. Just wondering if there were close...I'm in Morrisville (Durham county but Morrisville city).
Durham mom with a sailor stationed at Ft. Gordon. If anybody nearby has a sailor there also, maybe we could share rides to GA for visits. He'll be there for quite a while. It's a little too far for a day or two visit for him, so he doesn't get home much. I love to get out of town to visit!
Welcome Suzanne, I'm in Graham, work at UNC. My SN just graduated ET "A" school with honors on the 13th. He PIR's Jul 22, 2011. If you haven't already found it, there is a PIR group and maybe even a specific one for your SR's date. That will allow you to get to "know" some other parents that you may meet in Chicago. Have a blast while ur there.
Cary NC mom here... Son PIR day 5-25-12. Glad I found a group of NC mom's!
Hi North Carolina Moms, On Molly's Adopt A Sailor website, I received a message from the Ombudsman for the Greenville. There is a sailor's wife who is pregnant and due in July. Are there any moms in Asheville who could give her a helping hand when the baby is born? Maybe supply a few meals or visit her? I have also posted this on the "Sailor Rescue List" and some moms there would like to send her a "mail shower." Thank you.
mamawalrus, if I can help you with something let me know. I am only 45 minutes away and go to Jacksonville about 1 to 2 times a month.
Hi all..
Anyone familiar with CL area? Will be heading that way in few weeks.. any info would be greatly appreciated.
Looks like I will be flying into Jacksonville instead.
Hi, Jennifer G. Welcome! I actually work in Winston-Salem and live in Lewisville. My son is currently deployed aboard the USS Carl Vinson.
Hello IBeeTunechiLee'sMom! I'm hoping my son gets Norfolk when the time is right (after school) but as long as he is happy, I don't care where he's stationed. Glad to meet you.
