i cannot wait, looking super forward to meeting faces with names.....navy moms are the greatest!!!!!!
Congratulations, Annie! Isn’t it great to have him home?
Hi, everyone. I’m here in the Archdale/Trinity area (near High Point), and our Navy son just drove in tonight from Goose Creek. He plans to be here through Sunday, and this is a special visit for us, too, because we found out he starts Prototype on December 16, so he can’t come home for Christmas. This may be our last in-person visit for a long time, so of course I’m going to savor every moment!
Karen
Thanks....I have a 5 year old grand daughter that stays with me, then a husband who won't eat breakfast if I don't cook. Can't wait to see everyone there. I pray that we have good weather!!!
If nothing happens I will be there....Are we bringing our families or just us NAVY MOMS
I will be there God willing and can't wait to meet ya!!!
Susan
I am very sad to say that I can't attend the get-together. That is right when our choir rehearsal starts for our special music that Sunday. I have to be there. Everyone have fun. Maybe I'll get there next time.
Hi everyone, I am in the Greensboro area, and I would love to meet some fellow Navy Moms. My son is stationed in Sasebo Japan, and has been there since 5/1/2011. Thankfully he is coming home for a short visit 12/30/2011. =) It seems that several of you are very close to GSO, so if you do set up a meeting I would love to come and meet you all! =)
Thanks motheroftwo - I will check the discussions. I am not very mobile right now - while my son was home between A school and Japan, I broke my femur! (Playing frisbee with our dog - he ran into me going for the frisbee and the impact broke it.) Since my son just finished as a Hospital Corpsman, he was able to splint it so I could get to the hospital. After surgery with a plate and screws 4 weeks ago, I still can't put weight on my leg and can't drive. My husband is waiting on me - I can hobble pretty well on my one leg, but have a lot of limitations. The worst part was I couldn't do everything I wanted to do for my son while he was here, but managed to still cook and bake a few of his favorites with some help.
Anyway, I will keep an eye out for any meetings - and maybe by that time I will be getting around easier!
