Hi karen im not in gbo but im not far from ya. Thomasville. My son is in bc as well. His PIR is 10/7. The first couple of weeks are the worst but they do get better once u start hearing from him. This is a dollar coaster ride so hang on tight.

Hi NC Navy Moms!! I am a new navy mom and live in Greensboro. My son arrived at bc last Tuesday, so I have had a roller coaster week, but am doing much better. I think it has been easier on us as our son is older, 26, graduated from UNCW, and has lived on his own for some time. No communication is the hardest and wondering how he is doing day by day and how he is being treated has been tough on his family. The "box" arrived but to his apartment in Wilmington, and his girlfriend had a hard time with that. But our family talks with her regularly and we support one another. I am looking forward to the form letter...have not received that yet.  Any greensboro moms out there?  So happy and proud to get to know you fellow navy moms!!

What a coincidence motheroftwo.  I grew up in Thomasville and still have family and friends that live there.  Small world!

Awesome motheroftwo!  So cool to know someone else in the Piedmont.  I live close to Winston-Salem, by the way.

My SR only has 15 days until PIR!  My husband and I are so very proud of him. We can hardly wait to see him at PIR!!
