Unless things have changed it would be on Thurs night at the Ramada from 6-8. It was fun meeting some of the parents that I talked to on here that had kids in the same division!

Gosh the limo sounds wonderful!! We went in March, cold rainy AND St Patricks day weekend LOL! It was crazy trying to get everywhere in Chicago and always afraid he would miss his curfew so he always left lots of time to get back! We drove the 17 hours(turned into 19) and we got checked in Thurs morning, rested and then went to the meet and greet. Tried to sleep the night before but too excited to see my boy! I will tell you that if your son/daughter is grad and go they have to stay on base and process out. I felt so sorry for those parents! They got about ten minutes with them after grad and then off they went! I know many of them were planning to meet them at the airport to spend some time together. One of the interesting things I thought during the PIR was the Navy people constantly circling the sailors and then I caught on that they were watching for those who were going to pass out! They grab them by the arm and take them to a door in the back, some came back out and othesr did not. Saw about 12 or more leave that way. I guess the combination of standing still, excitement and sheer exhaustion took a toll!

For ePIR, I would HIGHLY recommend the Residence Inn by Marriott Waukegan! They have it down to a science! We got a studio room which my son loved because trust me first thing they want is a long shower and their boxers back!! The couch, tv and kitchen gave it a homey feel! They also have free breakfast and free food most night. The shuttle is five dollars each way but completely worth it! We went to the meet and greet down the road the night before and that was fun, everyone so excited for next day to see their Sailor! As far as seating goes, check and see how many divisions are graduating that day., my son had like 8 or 9 which is considered not too big so there were plenty of seats but I would suggest a early shuttle maybe not that early! Enjoy! It is wonderful!
