OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome T. Denny and Cindy. I from Hanging Rock. My son is on the USS Comstock and he is on his second deployment.

I'm in Winston Salem, near the High Point, Kernersville area.  I have a daughter on the USS Ronald Reagan's Launch Crew and was wanting to get together with some other moms in the area for some care package meetups.  Thought it would be nice to send some extra stuff for the people who work with our children, but don't receive care packages while deployed.

I'm new to the site and was wondering if there were any moms near Winston Salem.....

It is a small world, isn't it? The older I get, the smaller it becomes.  :)

This is why I love NC - I can get to the mountains or the beach in a matter of hours!

@Navymom09 - I have 2 sisters in Morganton. One out 181 and another on Morehead St (she teaches at Table Rock Middle School). I love it there too!

@Angela - my son is currently going through A-school at Port Hueneme, CA for CM. How about everyone else?

My husband is counting the days to his annual trip to Brevard. He's been trout fishing in the Davidson River on the first weekend in April for almost 40 years.
