OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

We are about 3-4 hours away. We have vacationed there a few times. Wow, you are really close to your daughter. I know you like that.

Hi Carol, I live between New Bern and Oriental on the Neuse River about 45 minutes from Atlanic Beach. We spend most every weekend during the summer at Cedar Island or Ocracoke. Where are you?

rockwido(SO7Div359) thanks for the info and the encouragement. I have already received Zach's box and am waiting on the form letter. I have a lot of people wanting to send him letters but have no information to give them yet. I know that he will be fine, but I want him to know that we are thinking of him and praying for him. Zach has been away from home to summer camps and mission trips many times. He even spent a month last summer in Australia as a student ambassador so he's used to being away but this is different some how. I can't communicate or see him. This is more difficult than I has anticipated and he's only been gone 6 days. It's going to be a long two months.

smcdaniels my son called from his cell phone to tell us he was there and in processing...I didn't get another call until he passed battle stations...the first letter I got from him said he had not gotten any mail and he could not understand why no one had written him ( I had sent him letters and cards every other day) he did finally get his mail but it was 2 weeks into bc.....it was very hard not hearing from him, after PIR he told us that some divisions got more calls than they did I guess it is just up to the RDC's I will be praying for you
