Carolina Tarheel,
Your description of the doors opening and the sailors marching in brought back so many memories for me even after a year and 1/2. It brought goose bumps to me!!!
And Martyzmom,
I didn't know about this website until my daughter came home after A school. But she had ordered the video and the individual pictures so we did get to watch the video. I never saw where she was standing in her division but in the video I saw that she was in the front column when they marched by.
byw - it's called a Drill Hall!!! :)

Grasshopper,
That's cool. I know there are two other moms on here from the Wake Forest area. Maybe after the holidays we can try to get together and see if there are other moms nearby.

Sorry I missed the meet and greet but I'm visiting my daughter in Ohio right now. Do we have any other moms in the Raleigh area that would like to get together?

Just got my first letters from my son in BC. He's in Ship 6, Div 909. He said he met someone from Hickory in his Division...anyone out there with a child from Hickory in Ship 6, Div 909? Would love to hear from you!

My oldesst son just recently told me about a site called "kayak.com". It will search for cheap flights. He recently found a $70 ticket from Boston to RDU.
