AirmanHutch's Mom,
If you haven't already, read over the guidelines for this site from Admin. If you click on the tab for Main and scroll down just a few topics you will see the guidelines and OPSEC guidelines. I don't know if that is what the Pensacola group pointed you to but the guidelines specifically states no last names including your own if your sailor's last name is the same.
Again, just wanting to keep your sailor safe!!!!

Hutch's Mom,
I just want to keep yours and all our sailors safe. Because we don't want outsiders knowing who our sailors are we are not to post any last names of any sailor. Also means any pictures we have of them, or anyone else, in uniform, we need to make sure the last name is not visible.
Welcome to the group!! Thanks for the holiday wishes - won't get to spend it with any of my kids but I learn to accept!! Hope you have a great holiday season also!!!

Becky,
If that is your son's last name, I need to tell you to remove your it. No last names should ever be posted on this site - OPSEC rules. First name's are ok just not last names.

Navymom,
Yes be careful driving around up there!!! Driving around GL shouldn't be as bad once you get away from the big city. Enjoy every minute with your new sailor!!!

Martyzmom,
My husband's family is all from Beaver Falls, PA. His sister lives outside Pittsburg. We also moved around a bit - lived in Annapolis for 11 years!!! Never lived in NJ or NY but have visited there!!! I've lived in CA, MD, GA, OH, and now NC and not because of the military!!!

Martyzmom,
That is funny!! I hope you do get to visit next summer. I wanted to get out there during the summer season but circumstances just didn't work for that time frame. Visiting in the late fall wasn't bad - it would rain a little every day and it is always wet but it could be pouring in the morning but by the afternoon the sun is out!!! I did see lots of rainbows!!!!! So where are you from originally?

Congratulations on your new sailor Paula!!!! I hope he gets to come home!!!

Well I'm back home in NC from a week's visit with my sailor daughter in WA. It rained off and on the entire time I was there but that could not detract from enjoying every minute of my visit. Every day my daughter would say - maybe you'll see Mt. Rainier today, but it would always be completely covered by clouds. Finally yesterday morning as we were driving to the airport, I saw the mountain!!! How funny!!! Martyzmom, I hope your son loves living in WA as much as my daughter does. It really is beautiful there even if the winters are mostly rainy and cloudy - the beauty is still there!!!

Hello NC moms!! I am new to the website and was so excited to see this group. My son is leaving Jan 15th for BC and I get weepy eyed just thinking about it!

Martyzmom,
I am out here in Kitsap right now visiting my daughter who is stationed here. It is so beautiful out here - even with the rain they've been having!!! The mountains and the Puget Sound - saw a sub the other day!!
