Hi!

I live in the Triangle Area and my son is leaving for Boot Camp Nov 18th. Is there a Triangle Group that meets together? If not, are there enough Mom's out there interested in starting an RTP group?

Donna C,
Did he take the orders for Oceana? That is where my son was stationed the first 4 years. Plus it is close enough to visit. Being on hold is a pain in the rear, but I can't say that it only happens when they are finishing up school and waiting to go out to the fleet. One of my son's friends is on hold in Oceana waiting for the Navy to have the funds to send him out to NV. He has his orders but he and his family can't move yet. He's been in over 4 years, so it still happens. One of his kids is now living in NV with my son and dil so he can start school out there until mom and dad get out there!!

I do believe Kitsap and Bremerton are nearby, but I really don't understand how all the bases are laid out. I know Everett is over on the other side of the water and Whitby is the island. Actually - Bangor, Bremerton, and Kitsap are all right close by each other.

Donna,
Where west coast does he want to go? And I'm sorry - my mind just isn't what it used to be - what rate is he in?

Martyzmom,
What a nice picture!! Congratulations to your son.
I know what it's like now to have all these holidays without the kids. I don't like this empty nest stuff!!!
