Tammy, have you check out the DEPper group? You might try starting a discussion in that group for recruits leaving the first part of May. You will begin to find more moms as the leave date gets closer.
Val, you are right, this is a horrible site to find if you already have an addiction! But....teehee

Good luck to PO1. Her DIV 908 looked good on 01/09/09. She must have trained them well. If I remember correctly they got Hall of Fame didn't they?

Tammy, Until May, fix his favorite foods, show him lots of love and support, and do a few simple things with him or for him during this time. You and he both will want to be able to draw from those memories while he is at GL. Until then just take one day at a time. Go to the recruiter and ask questions, come here and ask questions, the more you both know the better it will be for you. I'm glad you've found this site well in advance, it really does help. Have a good day, God bless you and your son, thank him for his service and welcome aboard!

Hey Angela, welcome to the group. My son just graduated A school in Great Lakes and is starting C school up there in a week. He we actually scheduled to leave on 1/29 for San Diego, but they decided to send him to C school. You will love this group.

Hi Karen,
Are you still going to VA this weekend? My son called today, he phased up so I'm going up in the next couple of weeks to take his car to him. I have a friend in Cary who is going up the weekend of the 7th for the Polar Plunge and she wants to try to go by and see him for a while. I'm shooting for either that weekend or the following weekend. I'll be happy to reciprocate the offer and if there is anything you want sent up at that time, give me a yell. Have a good trip. Btw, Chris gets to start class on Monday. Yipee! I only have to worry for 13 weeks of "A" school and then 5-13 weeks of "C" school!

Hey, I'm hope to come if there is room. I live near the Virginia state line so I figure you are a little over two hours for me. I need directions, please. I sent an email to you but it was returned. I will only be able to stay for a little while because I do have to work the next day. But, I do look forward to meeting everyone.
